3.Photo Specification: Two recent passport size photographs with matt or semi matt finish, 60%-80% face coverage, white background and without border (Size: 35mm x 45mm) .

4. Covering Letter : Original Covering-letter from the company on its letter head stating applicant's name, designation, salary, period of service, passport number, purpose & duration of the visit. The letter should be duly signed by authorized signatory stating his name & designation along with the company stamp and addressed to – The Visa Officer, Embassy of Finland , New Delhi. 5.Invitation Letter: Copy of Invitation Letter from Finnish host / inviting Company on its letter head stating the applicant's name, designation, passport number and purpose & duration of visit. The letter should be duly signed by the invitee mentioning his contact details, address, e-mail address and sponsorship details.

6.Financials:

a) Copy of Personal ITR for last 2yrs. 

b)  Personal  Bank Statement for last 3 months mentioning the applicant's name along with the Bank’s name & Telephone Number.  Bank statements should be with seal and sign from the bank in original. 

c) In case of self employed, company's financial documents are also required.

7.Proof of Occupation:

Self Employed

a) Copy of Company Registration Certificate / Certificate of Incorporation. 

b) Copy of the Proof of Proprietorship / Partnership Deed.

c) Brief Company Profile. 

d) Articles of Memorandum (In case the applicant is MD/Director).

Employed

a) Copy of salary slips for last three months.

b) Copy of the company ID card.

8.Proof of Accommodation : Hotel booking for the entire period of stay in Schengen area.

Please Note: Hotel should match the ticket dates and maximum stay should be in Finland.

9.Airline Reservation : Ticket Itinerary. 

Please Note: The travel dates should be after 12 working days from the date of submission of application.

10.Medical : Copy of Medical Insurance for the stay duration amounting to 30,000 Euros.The validity of the travel insurance must be at least 02 days longer than the period of stay and must cover the whole Schengen territory.Insurance to be done by the Authorized Insurance Companies .  Download Here

Indian citizens travelling to Schengen countries for short-term (max 90 days in 180 days) will have to visit VFS visa application centre personally to provide biometric data (fingerprints and digital photograph). For subsequent applications within next 5 years the biometric data will be copied from the previous visa application included in the VIS.


There are certain exemptions as follows:
   • Children under 12
   • Persons for whom the collection of fingerprints is physically impossible
   • Sovereigns and other senior members of a royal family, Heads of State and members of the national Governments with their official delegations and spouses) if they travel for official purposes.

6. Certificates: Copies of Educational qualification (Highest Degree), work experience along with the copy of company ID card have to be submitted along with the application.

7. Financials: Salary slips for the last three months.

8. Please Note: 
a) First time schengen traveler needs to come for Personal appearance and must carry company id card during the interview.

6. Invitation letter/ Letter of Guarantee: A letter of guarantee from shipping company in Finland.  On official letterhead including contact information, position, signature of the inviter, a brief explanation of the nature of the vessel. Also the applicant’s name , nationality , Date of Birth, passport number , rank in the ship,The purpose, duration and program of the journey. Information about the party who bears the cost of the trip. 

7.  CDC Booklet (Continuous Discharge Certificate). Along with the photocopies of all used pages.

8. Ticket : Ticket Confirmation.
